LOUISE TRENT
My name is Louise, and I grew up in a working-class family in Melbourne, Australia, where meat pies were part of everyday life - from school lunches to Saturday footy games with my dad and sister. To me, they’ve always been a taste of home.
In the early 1990s, while living in Boston, I dreamed of introducing Australian meat pies to America. I even returned to Australia to source a bakery recipe, but graduate school and a career in physical therapy put that dream on hold. It was never forgotten.
After returning to Australia, marrying and raising three children, I moved to Las Vegas in 2014 to support my eldest son’s golfing ambitions. Through years of hard work and personal challenges, my proudest achievement has been watching all three children graduate college and build successful careers.
With 33 years in physiotherapy and studies in natural medicine and functional nutrition, I’ve always been passionate about wellness. That passion shaped my vision: offering a delicious, satisfying, protein-rich takeaway option inspired by an Australian classic.
The dream gained new life when I met Barrick at a golf course. He believed in the idea before he’d even tasted a meat pie. During our trip to Australia in 2026, his first bite sealed it.
Together, we created Meat Pie Heaven - a shared dream bringing an iconic taste of Australia to Las Vegas.
